The transaction brings Kalder's rewards platform and team into Luumis, adding customer intelligence, rewards, and subscription infrastructure to its broader platform.
Today we're announcing that Kalder has been acquired by Luumis, the company building operational intelligence infrastructure for service enterprises. Our platform, our brand and customer relationships, and members of our team are joining Luumis to build the rewards, retention, and customer intelligence layer underneath the businesses that keep service industries running, starting with automotive retail and extending into additional service-intensive verticals.
Why we built Kalder
Kalder started in 2022 on a simple bet: the loyalty a brand earns should pay it back.
For most brands, loyalty is a cost center: points that sit as a liability on the balance sheet, discounts that erode margin, an app nobody opens. We flipped that. Kalder built infrastructure that lets businesses launch branded rewards programs powered by card-linked offers, where customers earn everywhere they spend and every transaction drives commission revenue back to the brand. Not per click, per swipe. On top of that: subscription programs, and first-party transaction data that shows businesses what their customers actually do in the real world, not just inside one app.
Loyalty rebuilt as a revenue line instead of a line item.
Why Luumis
Fintech spent a decade owning the app and skipping the service lane, the shop floor, and the counter. The service businesses that keep everyday life running have been left without modern tools for retention and monetization.
That is exactly the gap Luumis is building for. Their thesis matches ours: rewards, retention, and customer intelligence should not be features buried inside one product. They should be shared infrastructure running underneath many, connected to what actually happens inside the operation.
"Operational intelligence should connect the entire lifecycle of a business—not only what happens inside the operation, but also what brings customers back," said Frazier Horn, Founder and CEO of Luumis. "Kalder adds rewards, subscription, and customer intelligence infrastructure to the broader platform we are building. ServiceSync AI represents the first opportunity to connect those capabilities directly to a complex service operation."
What's next
The first integration is in automotive retail. ServiceSync AI, Luumis' operational intelligence product for dealership service departments, will pair with Kalder's rewards and subscription engine to help dealerships strengthen retention, open new revenue streams, and own a direct, first-party relationship with every customer. Over time, the same shared infrastructure extends into additional service-intensive verticals across the Luumis ecosystem.
"Kalder was built around a simple idea: businesses should be able to create stronger customer relationships through everyday commerce," says Nazli Gungor, Kalder's Chief Product Officer. "Joining Luumis allows us to continue that mission while bringing customer intelligence into a much broader operational platform."
"Kalder's architecture was designed as reusable infrastructure," says Pavan Krishnamurthy, our Chief Technology Officer. "Rewards, subscriptions, commissions, and transaction intelligence were built as platform services that can power many applications across industries."
What this means for Kalder partners
Kalder's platform will continue supporting existing customers through the transition, and existing programs will have the option to move onto Luumis as new applications roll out across the Luumis ecosystem. If you're a current partner, we'll be in touch directly, and you can always reach us at the same addresses you use today.
Thank you
To our partners and supporters, and everyone who ran their loyalty on our rails, and most of all the Kalder team: thank you for betting on the idea that rewards could be a revenue engine. That bet is now going to run underneath more of the businesses people rely on every day than we could have reached alone.
More soon.
